About the role
As a Motor Technician Apprentice, your role will include:
- Servicing and maintaining cars and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Repairing, removing, and installing vehicle components
- Working to manufacturers' specifications and industry best practices
Apprenticeship details
- Duration: Minimum of 4 years
- Certification: On successful completion of all 7 phases, you will be awarded a Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Motor Technician
What we're looking for
- A strong interest in motor technology and mechanics
- Ideally, successful completion of the Leaving Certificate
- Good results in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Metalwork or Technology are an advantage
- A good work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and take instruction
- A full driving licence is an advantage
- Applicants who have completed 12 driving lessons and are awaiting their test will also be considered
