Job Title: Assistant Service Delivery Manager, ODMA South
Location: Ballymount, Dublin 12
Reporting To: Service Delivery Manager, ODMA South
Purpose: Assists in leading the day-to-day management of our ODMA South operation to ensure delivery of our contract KPIs, whilst ensuring a customer centric approach.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Responsible for the management and performance of the Depot Supervisors, Traffic Supervisor and Driver teams.
- Lead and develop the above teams to deliver the best outcomes for our customers on a daily basis, whilst also striving for continuous improvement
- Work with Supervisory and Driver teams to continually improve the run out and service delivery
- Ensure the Supervisory teams are implementing effective service recovery plans, to ensure the delivery of internal KPIs
- Assist other departments to plan and adapt service to meet changing patterns of traffic and to deal with special events
- Assist the Service Delivery Manager in the running of operational audits (such as first use checks, uniform, CPC/Licence compliance)
- Ensure the Supervisory and Driver teams are working within compliance (Licence, CPC, driver hours, etc)
- Assist in the planning and management of route learning
- Ensure ongoing effective communications and positive engagement with Supervisory and Driver teams
- Work with team members in Service Performance and Engineering to ensure service delivery
- Manage supervisory and driver teams in line with the Company’s Performance and Conduct Guidelines
- Ensure prompt and effective investigations into all accidents and incidents in line with Company Performance and Conduct Guidelines, and conduct disciplinaries where required
- Support HSEQ team as required
- Work alongside to support the ODMA North team as required
- Maintain an effective and positive working relationship with the Trade Union
- Ensure that Health and Safety requirements are monitored and managed proactively, including taking part in Management Safety Tours
- Responsibility in managing, participating, and complying with the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Essential:
- Significant experience of managing a team in an operational environment.
- Relevant professional development or management qualification.
- Track record of meeting performance and an understanding of key operational performance
- Experience of managing change effectively.
- Strong people manager.
Desirable:
- Experience of managing budgets effectively.
Competencies, desirable traits or attributes:
- A relationship builder.
- Effective and supportive leadership and mentoring experience.

Key Safety Responsibilities:
- To act in a manner as to ensure the health, safety, welfare, environment and fire safety of yourself and others in the organisation as well as any clients and visitors.
- Ensure that you and any guests to any company premises understand emergency and evacuation arrangements.
- Ensure your working environment is maintained in a safe and tidy condition. To act proactively in identifying and any unsafe practices or safety risks in the organisation and reporting these through the appropriate channels.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant company and Go-Ahead group company policies and procedures.
