Salt & Sage Café is a brand new cafe situated on the Mainstreet of Charleville, County Cork. Serving the amazing brand of coffee that is Bager and Dodo. Our goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where customers can relax, catch up with friends, or work in a comfortable environment, all while enjoying high-quality food and drinks.
We believe that good food starts with quality ingredients, which is why we source only the freshest and highest-quality products for our menu, prepared by our amazing team of fully qualified Chefs.
We use the guatemela blend from Bager and Dodo freshly roasted in Fermoy which ensures a rich and flavourful cup every time. And our amazing cakes are made by our fully qualified bakers who provide all our deserts in their new state of the art newly renovated bakery.
We're eagerly seeking a seasoned, versatile barista, a true star who will play a pivotal role in our team from the beginning. Someone with a genuine love for coffee and customer service, capable of delivering exceptional customer experiences and a perfect cup of coffee. As a team member of Salt & Sage, your responsibilities will include:
Setting high standards from the start.
Creating speciality coffees just as our customers like theirs.
Taking orders and payments
Setting the cafe and equipment up for the day.
Maintaining high standards in hygiene, customer service and overall cafe presentation.
As a Salt & Sage Barista/ Café Assistant, you'll be more than just a coffee maker. You'll be an active team player, contributing to creating a bustling, friendly and efficient cafe workplace. Your role is crucial in maintaining high standards in food/drink quality, cleanliness, and cafe presentation, as well as ensuring an exceptional customer experience. We define this as going above and beyond to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations. Your contribution is invaluable to us.
You'll have:
At least 6 months - 1 year of trained barista experience.
Have a genuine passion and love for coffee.
Experience working in a high-volume speciality coffee environment, being comfortable weighing your doses and yields under pressure, and having good free-pour latte art.
A warm, friendly and engaging personality.
Experience in training other staff members in coffee art. At Salt & Sage, we value continuous learning and development. We offer regular training sessions and opportunities for baristas to enhance their skills and knowledge in the coffee industry.
Ability to stay focused and organised under pressure.
Be happy to get stuck in across all cafe duties when required.
Be honest and reliable.
