JCPS Mechanical Ltd is one of Ireland’s leading mechanical services contractors, renowned for delivering a diverse range of high-quality mechanical construction solutions. We specialise in the installation and maintenance of advanced, energy-efficient heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and piping systems.
We are now seeking an experienced BIM Lead to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role based at our head office and warehouse in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that fully coordinated, high-quality BIM models are developed and maintained in line with project objectives, company standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the BIM delivery strategy for all mechanical projects, ensuring compliance with client and project requirements.
- Oversee the production, coordination, and delivery of BIM models and associated project data throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce company BIM standards, templates, workflows, and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
- Facilitate model coordination and clash detection across disciplines using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all BIM-related queries from internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Organise and chair BIM coordination meetings and workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and support the development of BIM Coordinators and Designers within the business.
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging digital construction technologies to enhance productivity and model accuracy.
- Ensure rigorous quality control, version management, and correct use of Common Data Environments (CDEs).
- Work closely with Design, Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure accuracy, constructability, and alignment of project models.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a BIM-focused role within the mechanical or building services sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 (or equivalent platforms).
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical services (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, industry standards, and digital workflows.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.
