As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Care Manager to lead and oversee our Nursing Home Care Assistant Service. This is a key leadership role ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care delivery across our client sites.
Role Overview:
As Care Manager, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment, training, deployment, and supervision of care assistants working within nursing home settings. You will ensure that care delivery meets regulatory standards and client expectations, while supporting a positive, professional working environment for staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee staff scheduling, rota management, and ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts
- Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and spot checks for care staff
- Liaise with nursing home managers and stakeholders to ensure service quality and responsiveness
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding protocols and company policies
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for new care assistants
- Manage incidents, complaints, and performance issues professionally and promptly
About You:
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards it)
- Previous experience in a care management or senior supervisory role within a healthcare or nursing home environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team
- Flexible and reliable approach to working hours
- A full Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
