Small apartment development consisting of 2 blocks of 25 apartments each, seeks a caretaker and handyman for 2-3 days a week to perform general handyman and cleaning duties:

1. Garden and grounds management - cut grass, tend to flower beds etc. All tools provided.

2. Clean common areas and enure the blocks are tidy and clean

3. General maintenance - painting, tidying, etc

The candidate can set their own hours and may engage in outside employment for the remaining 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of common areas, including hallways, lobbies, lifts, stairwells, bin areas, and outdoor spaces.

· Carry out routine inspections of the building to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.

· Carry out minor repairs (e.g., lightbulb changes, clearing blockages, etc.) and liaise with contractors for larger works.

· Manage waste disposal, ensure bin areas are kept tidy, and coordinate refuse collection.

· Maintain grounds, pathways, and parking areas (sweeping, weeding, etc.).

· Respond to resident queries and issues in a polite and professional manner.

· Keep maintenance and incident records as required.

· Assist with access for service providers, deliveries, and emergency services.

Key Requirements:

· Previous experience in a similar caretaker, facilities, or maintenance role preferred.

· A practical, hands-on approach and ability to carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.

· Good communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with residents and contractors.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

· Basic IT or smartphone skills (e.g., for reporting or logging maintenance issues).

· Flexibility to respond to urgent issues outside of standard hours on occasion (if required).
