Overview:
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Ireland Snacks, the role requires deep analysis of both internal performance data and external market insights to identify key trends, opportunities, and risks, ensuring decisions are driven by data and aligned with both short-term goals and long-term strategic objectives.
As a key contributor to Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes with major customers, the Category & Insights Manager will play a critical role in shaping collaborative plans that drive mutual growth. The individual will also be an active and influential member of the Ireland leadership team, contributing to the overall commercial direction and strategy of the business.
Responsibilities:
The Category & Insights Manager will lead the development and execution of category management strategies across key customers in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This role is responsible for managing all range reviews with a strong focus on maintaining category objectivity while delivering measurable commercial benefits to the business.

- Setting category strategy and agenda across all strategic customers in Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, delivering category growth for formal and informal category partners in Crisps and Snacks, and Hot Cereals category.
- Maximize return on investment from category partnerships working to ruthlessly priorities initiatives which deliver genuine category growth and disproportionately increase PepsiCo share of shelf and sales.
- Integrate robust shopper insights into key business processes which include Strategic Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Situation Analysis and new product meetings.
- Best-in-class insight provision through monthly and ad-hoc reports and analysis, including Top Line share view, Must Win Battle scorecards, monthly HERO SKUs performance trackers, etc.
- Managing, negotiating and building strong relationships with external agencies and suppliers including market data agencies.
- Computer literacy – Powerpoint, Word, Excel superuser.
- Technical proficiency - Nielsen, Kantar, Planogram building software
- Category management / insights / marketing experience (+5 years)
Competencies:
- Experience in extracting data, finding key insights and presenting to the wither commercial team
- Direct customer-facing experience, including management of range reviews and refreshes
- Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively across related functions
