The Person:
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant for casual employment. You will have good, relevant experience of working in food and beverage / catering / cafes, and have a passion for quality and presentation. The successful applicant will:
- Ideally, have previous experience in the Hotel / hospitality sector
- Be able to legally work in Ireland
- Be provided with full training, mentoring, and support as you integrate into the Team
- Possess a positive, fun, can-do attitude
- Have a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your work
- Have excellent communication skills, with a strong command of the English language
- Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail
- Be able to work as part of a Team or on your own initiative
- Have a good standard of health / level of fitness, and be capable of, and comfortable with, physical activity
- Be flexible as regards work shifts (as our operation covers Monday to Sunday. This role would primarily involve morning work and we will try to ‘flex’ to meet your needs too!
Specific responsibilities in this role include:
- Being open and willing to learn
- Working collaboratively with your colleagues, offering them assistance in response to any needs they may have
- Preparing consistently great food, in a timely manner and to the highest standards, in accordance with our Hotel policies and procedures and with your training
- To ensure the highest level of food safety and cleanliness of your workplace at all times
- To adhere to our health & safety training, policies and procedures
- To assist with the delivery of training if/as required
- To ensure that we offer excellent customer service to all our guests at all times
- To ensure that you maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct at all times
- Working with the Kitchens Team to manage Gross Profit (GP) and portion control, and to minimise food waste
