Catering Assistant in the Catering Department
1 Year Fixed Term Contract
25 hours per week, Monday - Friday
The person in this post will have catering and cleaning responsibilities and must follow HACCP at all times.
Essential Criteria - What we are seeking:
Some Catering experience, but training will be given
Experience working in a Cafe, Deli or kitchen environment
A good knowledge of food handling, food standards and a knowledge of HACCP
Strong organisational skills
A positive attitude and flexibility
A team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
Demonstrate impeccable time management and reliability
Ability and willingness to follow direction
High standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness
Desirable Criteria - The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Work in a busy environment throughout the day
- Basic Food Safety Training (a plus, but not essential), training will be provided
- Basic Food Hygiene qualification - HACCP, is desirable
- Be flexible with regard to general duties
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude to everything you do
- Show genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Salary will be reflective of qualification and level of experience and paid as per Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
