We are currently recruiting an Early Years Educator Graduate Leader for our service in Oranmore, caring for children from 6 months to 6 years.
Requirements:
- Minimum FETAC Level 7 Major award in Childcare or equivalent as listed on the DCEDIY Early Years Recognised Qualification List or a letter from DCEDIY
- Experience: minimum 1 year in the Childcare Sector (Work Placement/Practice unaccounted)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Child Protection and/or willingness to become certified in "Children's First" programme.
- Excellent knowledge of the Aistear curriculum framework
- Paediatric First Aid certified

Job description:
- Implement a developmentally appropriate preschool and after school programmes for young children
- Ensuring a high standard of care and guidance to all children in your care under the designed programme
- Support, supervise and guide early year educators working within your team and work within the line management system.
- Prioritising the health, safety and welfare of all children in the service
- Developing individual educational plans, curriculum plans and observations to encourage child development and progression
- Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
- Communicating with parents and members of the community
- Inducting new staff members within the team
- Maintaining program administration
- Performing other related duties as required
Pay Scale quoted here is for a room leader early years educator role.
