- Overall responsibility for staff and children.
- Pre-plan activities for all participating children.
- To implement, adhere to and encourage adherence to all of the Policies and Procedures of ‘LittleScholars’ Breakfast and Afterschool, Childcare Service Policies and Procedures and the Staff Handbook, at all times.
- To ensure that the service adheres to the National Guidance for the Protection & Welfare of Children, and with the Child Protection Policy & Procedures of ‘Little Scholars’.
- To adhere to Little Scholars’ Health & Safety Statement.
- To engage as necessary with the Board of Directors in relation to the delivery of the service.
- To contribute to the warm, friendly atmosphere in the service.
- To lead and work as part of a team to ensure the children get maximum benefit from the service.
- To lead with staff in looking after the care, hygiene and safety of the centre and equipment.
- To ensure administrative tasks including maintaining children’s files, and maintaining financial records are completed to a high standard.
- To ensure that training is kept up-to-date, where relevant, and in line with regulations.
- To serve breakfast to children attending breakfast club.
- To carry out any other duties as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €13.04-€16.57 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 32 per week
