Sherpa Kids provides Before School Care, After school and Holiday Childcare to children in the areas of Thurlesduring term time and non-term time (school holidays).
- Start Date: 25 August 2025 to allow for adequate training, reference checks and garda vetting.
- Job Types: Permanent
- Salary: Starting from €14.76 p/h
- Locations: Thurles
- Hours: 7:40-9:10 and 1:30-6pm
- Positions: Programme Assistant and Programme Lead
Programme Lead:
- Programme Lead must have experience in managing and leading a team
- Own car required for programme lead
- Maintain the day-to-day activities
- Interacting with the children, their families and other staff members each day.
- Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
- Experience working with school aged children is preferred (Minimum 2 year)
- Proficiency in technology and software (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Programme assistant
- Supervise children during activities and free play
- Assist with homework and educational tasks
- Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
- Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
- Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
- Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year)
- Basic knowledge of child development
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
- Work Permit/ VISA essential (for more than 20 hours a week)
- At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.
