Job Description and Benefits

We are currently seeking a Civils Manager to join our expanding team and help to take us to the next level. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop this account to fit the ambitious growth plans of the company.


Based in our Dublin operation centers, the successful candidate has overall responsibility for the civils works delivery of the client project(s). The key elements of this role are to co-ordinate civil works across different projects, to ensure that the project meets the client & Entegro¿s expectations.


This role will suit an experienced, ambitious professional, capable of working in a dynamic environment in a direct client facing role. You must be comfortable working to and setting high standards for your team. You will be responsible and take ownership for all telecoms civils activities undertaken. The person will be experienced & suitably qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Directly reporting to the Civils Manager, you will ensure that all civils works are delivered to the required safety, time, and quality standards.
  • Supervision of multiple sites simultaneously
  • Liaising internal and external stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Community Bodies etc
  • Carrying out inspections/ auditing field operatives in safety procedures, specification and legislative compliance and performance Lead an effective team, ensuring that resource is fully utilised, and any contact demand is effectively covered
  • Monitors individual employee & contractor performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively isolating and identify areas of improvement ¿ driving resolve.
  • Issue daily site reports to clients and Entegro management.
  • Sign-off on completed works ensuring works are carried out to purple book standard
  • Ensuring that ArcGIS or other workflow tools are correctly updated
  • Feedback accurate site measurements of completed works
  • Ensure that sites align to the programme agreed with the client and Entegro.
  • Train & mentor fellow team members
  • Ensuring client SOP & HSEQ requirements are adhered to
  • Work out of hours/weekends in line with Road Opening License & programme stipulations

Skills required

  • 5+ years in a similar position
  • Must have previous experience of telecom civils works
  • Expert experience in telecoms civils to purple book standards.
  • Road Opening & Reinstatement Advanced certified with experience on the MRL system ¿ advantageous
  • Previous experience of supervision both internal teams and sub-contractors.
  • Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheel, 360, SLG, LUGS, First Aid, Power works qualifications ¿ all desired, not a prerequisite
  • Flexible and adaptable to work challenges and open to learn and develop skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work to a high standard consistently
  • A high standard of written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Full drivers licence.
  • Experience working with tablets / phones ¿ using ARCGIS is beneficial.
  • Experience working on live power networks is advantageous.

Educational Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering - advantageous
