Key Areas
The first point of contact for all guests arriving at Collins Club
Creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable first impression
Managing reservations and floor plans through OpenTable
Supporting overall guest flow and table coordination during service
Acting as a key communication link between guests and front-of-house operations
Maintaining a high standard of presentation and ambiance at the front-of-house desk and entrance area
Job Purpose
As Host at Collins Club, you are the first and lasting impression of the guest journey. This role is perfect for someone with a bubbly personality, a genuine love for people, and an eye for detail. You will greet guests, manage the reservation book, and coordinate seating to ensure smooth and elegant service delivery.
The Host is a vital part of the guest experience, responsible for creating a polished and energetic atmosphere that reflects the premium, boutique standard of The Leinster Hotel. Working closely with the restaurant and events teams, you'll be central to delivering both seamless service and warm hospitality.
This is a part-time role, requiring availability for 3 shifts per week. Flexibility to work weekends and special events is essential.
Key Deliverables
Guest Experience & Front Desk Presence
Greet guests with charm, energy, and professionalism upon arrival
Ensure all guests are attended to promptly and personally
Provide accurate information about menus, dining options, and guest amenities
Set the tone for a relaxed yet refined dining experience
Maintain a strong presence at the front of house throughout service
Reservation & Table Management
Manage bookings, confirmations, and guest requests via OpenTable
Organise and adjust table plans to maximise efficiency and service flow
Log special occasions, preferences, and repeat guest information
Ensure booking data is accurate, up to date, and reflective of business needs
Answer guest enquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner
Service Coordination & Communication
Act as a central point of communication between reception, floor staff, and management
Support the Sales & Events team by greeting VIPs and hosting restaurant show rounds
Respond to OpenTable reviews and guest feedback where appropriate
Assist the front-of-house team on the floor during peak times or guest transitions
Preferred Experience
Experience in a host, reservations, or front-of-house role in a restaurant or hotel
Proficient with OpenTable reservation system
Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Engaging personality with a naturally welcoming approach
High level of personal presentation and professionalism
Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and remain organised
Previous experience in a high-end or boutique hospitality environment is a plus
