Brief job description:
Due to expansion, we are seeking to appoint an individual who has construction management experience to provide technical support and training to our customers in the Midlands.
The role will involve meeting with clients, assess their requirements, provide design advice, installer training and technical support.
Through technical support the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to become involved in sales development activities with both new and existing clients.
Ideal candidate will have previous experience in this sector and will be able to work on their own initiative, are trustworthy, hardworking, and reliable.
The successful candidate will report directly to the manager.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
· Working closely with other Engineers and Technicians.
· Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with system design.
· Provide customers with detailed and accurate technical information and training on our products and systems.
· Develop your own technical skills in relation to the company’s products and systems including installation training.
· Monitoring and reporting of all contractor work performance and quality.
· Maintain regular interaction with customers at all levels, especially main accounts to help meet their needs in terms of products specification, training, technical support, and managing any red flags.
· The successful candidate will receive full on the job training with product experts and installation training will also be provided.
Requirements:
· Construction management experience essential, a degree is desirable but not necessary.
· Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D desirable.
· Experience with BCAR system desirable.
· Good IT skills - especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
· Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
Good inter-personal skills essential.
· Valid driving licence.
· Advanced problem solving & decision making skills.
· Have an understanding and ability to use the technical knowledge provided for the various systems.
