Team Leader (Construction) – Permanent contract, full time hours, salaried role.

The Role – Team Leader (Construction)
As a Team Leader, you and your second man will work as a team of 2 primarily at home-owner’s properties around the Republic of Ireland from a base in County Roscommon. You’ll lead on site works, as well as building, remediation, reinstatement and OFTEC works supervising team members on site to deliver projects in a timely manner. In addition, your duties will include:
· Carrying out such works under the direction of the Contracts and/or Operations Managers
· Run projects according to previously agreed schedules and budgets
· Utilise own initiative, skills and knowledge where appropriate
· Drive machinery and undertake hand dig excavation works to facilitate contamination removal
· Co-ordinate ordering of materials and skills to site to keep to the schedule of works
· Carry out works in accordance with health and safety regulations including relevant RAMS documentation
· Follow structural engineer’s drawings/plans to carry out propping works safely, namely brickwork and blockwork
· Supervise Labourers on site, ensuring their health and safety is maintained
· Assisting with taking photographs of completed works where required
The Package
· Permanent contract, working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday on site plus potential for overtime
· Salary in the region of €30,000 to €40,000, level dependent on experience (pay rate equivalent to approx. €15.38 to €20.50 per hour) plus overtime paid at an enhanced rate where applicable
· Potential to earn an annual discretionary bonus
· 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service to a maximum of 25 days plus bank holidays

Our Requirements – Team Leader (Construction)
· Experience in a similar role running construction projects on site with appreciation for health and safety
· A full EU driving licence
· A good general building knowledge, a willingness to learn new skills, have good organisation and problem-solving skills, and an understanding of project budgets and timelines and an appreciation of health and safety
· Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to undertake a variety of physically demanding tasks and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· A positive attitude, with a motivated approach and able to use own initiative
· Able to provide a basic Irish Garda Clearance check if successful and have the right to work in the ROI
· Be willing to work away if necessary whilst on a job with overnight allowances and reasonable expenses covered
