Job Description:
The Corporate Actions Senior Manager is responsible for the operational management of a global function(s) within the Corporate Actions team. Responsibilities include hiring, talent development, performance management, daily prioritization, achievement of business goals, business planning and project management.
The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise to key group and organizational projects and initiatives and interact with various levels of management and cross functional business partners. The Corporate Actions Senior Manager is also a key contributor to a positive and innovative workplace environment. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teamwork and shared success.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- 4+ years of experience in Corporate Actions
- 3+ years of management experience
- Bachelor's degree required
The Purpose of Your Role
The Global Corporate Actions team is responsible for all aspects of Corporate Actions processing. This includes Income, Mandatory and Voluntary events and Corporate Actions Reconciliation and Client Service query management.

The Value You Deliver
- Provide functional and technical area expertise, oversight, problem resolution, training, analysis and reporting as required across a variety of group responsibilities
- Accountable for ensuring client requests are processed within stated service level agreements and adhere to Fidelity and regulatory guidelines
- Ensure that all processes have sufficient risk and compliance controls. Identify areas of risk and work to mitigate them
- Review control reports and other workflow tools to ensure day-to-day activities are completed timely and accurately
- Work with managers and peers to recommend changes to systems, processes, responsibilities, reporting, etc.
- Conduct hiring, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, corrective action, terminations and other status changes of staffing
- Effectively delegate assignments, motivate associates, and assist the Director to manage daily performance of the team
- Work closely with peers in Fund Accounting and Pricing to ensure urgent Corporate Actions-related inquiries are resolved timely
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
The Global Middle Office acts as a servicing centre for FMR Co.'s trading desks globally, facilitating the confirmation and settlement of security and currency transactions with brokers and custodian banks, and providing daily cash estimates to Trading. It is also responsible for coordinating corporate action executions, ensuring the collection of income to the Funds, resolving position differences and facilitating securities lending activities.
