The Opportunity
We are looking for a Corporate Travel Manager to join our team as part of our financial services business in Dublin.
As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Dublin office opened its doors in 2008. As part of our Dublin team you will be performing the below key duties:
Key Duties:
The Corporate Travel Manager is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Guardian of the Maples Travel Policy, including facilitating continual review of how it best meets the business needs and striving for a comprehensive travel program that aligns with the firm’s objectives
- Chairs regular Travel Committee meetings, bringing the Regional Product Managers together to continue to develop travel and hotel strategy and ensure Group consistency and compliance.
- Management of the Regional Travel Management Companies in North America, Europe/ME and Asia on a day-to-day basis and when contract renewal or a market review is required.
- Ensuring the necessary internal IT resource and external supplier resource to support the cloud solutions and a robust escalation process where there are issues e.g. downtime
- Support Finance teams in providing timely and accurate Global Travel Reporting contributing to the annual forecasting and budgeting process for Travel
- First port of call for business Travelers and those who book travel on their behalf.
- Manage airline corporate loyalty programs on behalf of the Group.
- Drive the Global Hotel Program
- Organize training and clinics for travellers, bookers and approvers as needed.
- Draft communications to the Regions as and when needed regarding updates and changes in the travel space.
Requirements
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Demonstrable experience of working in travel management in a professional service setting.
- Strong understanding of corporate travel technologies.
- GDS knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to analyse travel data and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and policy improvement
- Experience overseeing corporate travel policies globally, ensuring compliance and consistency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
