We are currently recruiting for a Creche Manager for Rosie’s Childcare in Knocknacarra, Galway.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional who can join our team in delivering the highest standard of care and education possible to the children and families who attend our service.
This position has a 4 day work week with the working hours being 7.45am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood Care & Education or equivalent (Level 7/8 preferred)
- A minimum of five years working in the early childhood education sector
- Experience working in a supervisory or management role in an early years setting
- Excellent knowledge of child development, early childhood legislation, Síolta, Aistear and Tusla requirements, The Hive (NCS and ECCE)
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage administrative responsibilities effectively
- An understanding of and enthusiasm for child-led, play-based learning
- A passion for working with children and families
- Fluent written and spoken English
- A full clean drivers licence
Responsibilities:
- To oversee the day-to-day operations of the crèche, administering and managing the service in line with the service policies and procedures and best practice
- To provide a high-quality service in full compliance with the Childcare Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016, and the Tusla Early Years Inspectorate Quality and Regulatory Frameworks
- To lead, mentor and support a team of Early Childhood Educators and promote a positive and collaborative workplace
- To assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate educational programs that promote children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- To build strong relationships with parents/guardians through regular communication, meetings, and feedback
- To manage administrative tasks such as record-keeping, enrolments, staff rosters, payroll, attendance records, fee collection, and health & safety checks
- To monitor and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, nutrition, and care in line with policies and best practice
- To work with and report to senior management on the performance and needs of the crèche

Pay: €17.50-€18.50 per hour
