Base Location: Dublin

Salary: €49,400- €74,200 and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Role

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our IT Team. You’ll help transform data into actionable insights that improve operational performance, support asset strategy, and inform SSE IT's journey toward net zero. You’ll need strong analytical thinking, a technically curious mindset, and the confidence to challenge the status quo where better insights or processes can be unlocked. Experience in an asset-intensive or energy environment is desirable, as is familiarity with Agile product delivery and cloud-based data platforms.

You Will

As a Data Analyst you’ll act as the bridge between data and decision-makers—ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and translated into meaningful business insight.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and business teams to define data needs and deliver analysis that informs high-impact decisions.
  • Design and deliver clear reports, dashboards, and visualisations using tools like Power BI, focused on measurable business value.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure trusted, well-structured data pipelines and resolve data quality issues.
  • Define and maintain key metrics that track performance, trends, and progress across products and processes.
  • Present insights in ways that spark discussion, drive action, and support ongoing product evolution in Agile teams.

You Have

  • Experience in a data analysis role, with a track record of turning business questions into meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (or similar) and hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and exploration.
  • Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps delivery environments, with comfort collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences clearly and confidently.
  • Practical experience or curiosity to explore emerging data tools and methods—Databricks, AI/BI dashboards, or cloud data platforms are a bonus.
