Key Responsibilities
- Health and safety process are followed by all staff.
- Staff have the Correct PPE.
- Reporting of near misses on the health and safety portal.
- Dealing with staff daily.
- Problem solving / dealing with day-to-day issues.
- Customer requirements /Export and Paperwork files are sent on time.
- Ensuring stock rotation is being adhered to, and that all priority picking instructions from the production planners is completed.
- Order is picked and shipped to customer spec and presented in high standard.
- Engaging with management to drive improvements and opportunities.
- Ensuring only trained staff are operating machinery.
- PPT, Forklift, Shunter Driving Loading and unloading trailers.
- Ensuring that the area is kept clean and debris free.
- Ensuring that all paperwork is completed including intake and despatch check.
- Liaison with the QC departments within WGH and ensure that protocol is followed so that stock does not get misplaced.
- Organising loading to keep the floor moving.
- Shift cover for evenings reviewing with the Despatch Lead.
- Ensuring staff are on time to start their shift, Breaks and clocking are followed as procedure.
Requirements
What we need from you?
- Basic computer skills are advantageous
- Good people management skills
- Target-oriented approach
- Commitment to confidentiality
- Previous experience in meat production (beef processing preferred)
- Responsible from pre op. to post op. handover
- Manage staff holidays
