About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM and a pioneer in cloud-based innovation, is looking for an outstanding Solution Engineering Leader to join the UK & Ireland Solution Engineering Team, focussing on Ireland and HLS Enterprise accounts. In this role, reporting to the VP of Solution Engineering, Regulated Industries, you will be instrumental in driving growth for both the Irish market and the Health and Life Sciences sector. You will help establish Salesforce as the preferred solution for AI, Data, and CRM for both new and existing customers. We are seeking a candidate who embodies Salesforce’s core values: Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, and Equality.

As a Director, your success will depend on your ability to partner with aligned sales and distribution leaders, guiding customers on their journey to adopt and realise the value of Salesforce solutions. You will build and lead a team of solution engineers, redefining how Salesforce demonstrates value, engages with customers, and drives them towards success. Your role will involve strategic oversight, ensuring the alignment of your team's efforts with Salesforce’s GTM strategy for Ireland and HLS. Collaboration with the wider SE leadership team and Sales organisation will be critical as you help deliver Salesforce’s GTM strategy. You are a visionary leader with strong communication skills, capable of promoting standard processes and inspiring change. You will work as one team with the other SE Leaders, encouraging a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with your aligned sales leadership to communicate and deliver Salesforce’s entrepreneurial value proposition.
  • Work closely with Sales AVP/RVPs to develop account strategies to drive growth for the accounts in your sector.
  • Build, cultivate, and grow a multi-disciplinary team of SEs with a varied and complementary set of skills, ensuring strategic alignment with the company's long-term goals.
  • Attract, develop, and retain premier talent, encouraging a culture of performance, innovation, and career growth across the organisation.
  • Communicate the Regulated Industries vision and strategic objectives to ensure your team is aligned with the overall company strategy.
  • Act as an evangelist for both the Irish Market and HLS to various internal partners, influencing and driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lead customer engagements by facilitating high-level discussions at the CxOs level within your market, positioning Salesforce as a strategic partner.
  • Oversee and support AE/SE teams in crafting and delivering compelling value propositions that resonate with customer needs across a range of industries.
  • Run calibrated experiments to find new, better, and efficient ways of delivering balanced growth with transformational deals powered by Agentforce.
  • Drive pipeline generation through strategic sales and marketing initiatives, and support sales acceleration activities.
  • Develop strategies to nurture and grow existing customers.
  • Champion the adoption and scaling of new tools/programs to enhance team productivity, expertise, and collaboration.
  • Promote continuous team learning and be an early adopter of new learning and development programs.
  • Participate in and actively contribute to the leadership team for the UKI Solution Engineering Regulated Industries Team, driving central initiatives and organisational change.

Role Requirements:

  • Consistent track record to build and lead high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative, innovative culture at a strategic level.
  • Proven record of delivering revenue targets and driving strategic growth initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on team development and organisational growth.
  • A deep passion for technology, innovation, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Extensive understanding of cloud computing technologies and the ability to articulate their business benefits clearly to senior partners and CxOs-level executives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organisation.
  • A forward-thinking and strategic approach with a strong focus on execution and delivering measurable outcomes that align with the company's long-term goals.
  • Aligned with the high-performance culture at Salesforce, holding themselves and their team to the highest standards, and providing relevant feedback and guidance to get it right.

Experience

  • Experience in a leadership role within software sales organisations, with expertise in pre-sales leadership - guiding, shaping and aligning individuals towards a common goal.
  • Previously held joint accountability with sales for an assigned customer segment and associated revenue target.
  • Active in the Salesforce ecosystem in a customer engagement role.
  • Understanding the unique business requirements of customers within multiple industries and translating/communicating those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap for our customers.
