Job Description:
Recruiting an Early Years Childcare Professional in our Kilcommon Care & Education Service, based 25 mins from Nenagh and 25 mins from Thurles.
Role:
Caring For, Teaching, Developing, Playing & Having Fun With Children Of All Ages
Duties and Responsibilities
-Collaborate with the Manager in the design, implementation and monitoring of curriculums and programs used within a room.
-Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for this age group
-Maintain room, and equipment, to ensure the health and safety of children at all times
-Ensure an excellent standard of hygiene
-Attend meetings and undergo training as required
-Be aware of all policies.
-Be aware of child protection procedures and advise manager should you have any concerns about a child
-Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time
Person Specifications
Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare, level 6 or above an advantage.
Minimum 1 year work experience working with children.
Ability to work as part of a team is crucial and to be a team player.
Really understand and truly believe the importance of child development and the crucial role we can play in giving children a great start in life.
Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children
Good Communication and Relating Skills with children, staff and parents
Have a sense of humour
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Ability to commit, focus and go the extra mile for your role.
