Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves working part time in a classroom (20 hours a week) and part time assisting the manager and deputy manager in maintaining our high standards and driving ongoing innovation and improvement within our classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, a high level of energy, and a commitment to providing unwavering support to our teachers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of all classrooms.
Provide hands-on support to teachers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to deliver exceptional care and education, working with our Resources and library Co-ordinator to ensure our children and teachers receive resources in a timely manner and within budget.
Foster a positive, home-like environment for both children and staff, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
Implement and uphold high standards of care, safety, and education in line with our school’s mission and values.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovative practices to enhance the learning experience for children.
Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of classroom practices and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
Coordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to promote their growth and skill enhancement.
Work with our Induction and training co-ordinator to ensure all staff receive a full induction and provide for continued professional development for all staff.
Work with our Deputy Manager to ensure high standards are met across all classrooms.
Qualifications:
- A recognised degree in childcare or a DCEDIY recognised degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in an early childhood education setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to creating a supportive and enriching environment for children and teachers.
