We are currently recruiting for an EHS Advisor to join our team. This full-time permanent role would be ideally suited to an individual with a construction or trade background as this role will consist of both site visits along with office-based duties. The successful applicant will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing health and safety compliance across the business, while also improving the EHS culture.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develop guidelines, processes and documentation to support the Company in addressing and enforcing the required standards within both health and safety and environmental legislation
  • Prepare and review both Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure that these meet the high standards expected by SensoriFM
  • Perform the role of a competent PSDP and/or PSCS on behalf of the company which will include the preparation of/ review of Preliminary Design and Construction Safety Plans and ensure that these meet the high standards expected by SensoriFM
  • Conducting both administrative and site audits to ensure contractual obligations are being met and a high standard of EHS compliance is being adhered to.
  • Observe personnel on-site to ensure EHS compliance. This will include monitoring specialist subcontractors, agency & direct employees.
  • Lead and coordinate incident investigations and utilise root cause analysis to determine the true root cause and associated corrective and preventive actions necessary.
  • Ensure continued compliance with all regulatory & legislative standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental & Safety management systems ISO14001 & ISO45001
  • Be proactive in identifying both positive and negative behaviours while possessing the ability to implement realistic corrective and preventive measures to any non-conformances.
  • Manage & maintain employee training records in conjunction with the Training Department.
  • Create & develop content for the QEHS intranet to include best practice policies & procedures.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business.


Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Degree qualified, in an EHS discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a fast-paced pharmaceutical or construction environment.
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of Irish environmental health & safety compliance obligations
  • Preferably has qualifications in the following areas - Training Evaluation & Delivery, First Aid Responder, Manual Handling Instructor, Working at Height Instructor and DSE Assessor.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems to include ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Construction work is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with the ability to generate detailed monthly reports.
  • Conscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a fluent level of English.
