We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in Kildare.
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical installation work on new and refurbished systems across water, wastewater, commercial, and residential sites.
Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on electrical systems and equipment.
Complete electrical fit-outs of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including cabling, control panels, and motor systems.
Accurately calculate material requirements, order components, and maintain stock levels as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across a wide range of equipment.
Interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings to carry out installations and maintenance.
Maintain all necessary safety documentation and records of work carried out.
Mentor and support apprentices, sharing technical knowledge and safe work practices.
Ensure compliance with ETCI regulations, company safety protocols, and relevant industry standards.
Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations clearly to supervisors and project managers.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications & Certifications:
Relevant electrical trade qualification – FETAC Level 6, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and full driving licence are essential.
Experience & Skills:
Previous experience in the water and wastewater sector is desirable.
Strong knowledge of ETCI wiring rules and current electrical regulations.
Ability to work from technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights when required.
Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative or within a team.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
