About Us
Deeley Construction is a well-established company specializing in high-end residential renovations and extensions. Our projects demand precision, initiative, and an ability to take ownership of the work - from breaking ground to final handover. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, professionalism, and maintaining a safe, tidy, and respectful work environment.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated PLUMBER to support our residential construction projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who brings broad construction experience, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset. You must be capable of working independently, making sound decisions on site, and contributing across all phases of the build - from groundworks to final completion. You’ll be expected to think on your feet, solve problems without fuss, and keep progress moving without needing to be micromanaged.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of plumbing on residential renovation and extension projects, from first fix pipework to final installation of fixtures and fittings.
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, heating systems, and waste disposal systems in line with Irish building regulations.
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues on site quickly and effectively.
- Work independently and take ownership of tasks, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Ensure all plumbing works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Liaise with supervisors, colleagues, and other trades to coordinate work smoothly across projects.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace at all times.
- Represent the company’s values of respect, trust, communication, cleanliness, and quality in every aspect of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years’ experience as a plumber (residential projects preferred).
- Full plumbing qualification / trade certification (National Craft Certificate or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and plumbing codes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve problems on-site.
- Own tools and reliable transport (must be able to bring tools to site daily).
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other trades.
- Strong timekeeping, reliability, and pride in high-quality workmanship.
- Physically capable of handling the demands of plumbing work.
Desirable Skills
- Experience installing heating systems (radiators, underfloor, boilers).
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems (heat pumps, solar thermal) is a plus.
- Experience working on high-end residential renovations and extensions.
- Ability to carry out small remedial works or emergency repairs.
- A flexible, “can-do” attitude with strong initiative on site.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on skills and experience.
- Full-time, long-term role with consistent work in Dublin.
- A supportive, respectful environment where your expertise is valued.
- The chance to work on high-quality residential projects with a strong reputation for craftsmanship.
- Opportunities for ongoing training, upskilling, and career development.
- A strong team culture built on safety, professionalism, and trust.
