About The Role:
The Role:
The main purpose of the role is to provide services and duties to maintain the building facilities in consistent ready-to-serve conditions by rigid adherence to work generated from requirements and requests, and by vigilance of your core and non-core responsibilities. To react and generate work orders etc. within stipulated timeframes to ensure maximum Customer Service is achieved for operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and ensuring the proper functioning of mechanical and electrical systems
- Diagnosing and fixing issues, including mechanical and electrical components
- Report malfunctions of systems along with proposed solutions for improving system efficiencies
- To be first point of call to investigate and deal with facilities issues and emergencies
- Liaising with Facilities Manager and hard services Co-ordinator to schedule self-delivery PPMs, Sub-Contractor PPMs and reactive works.
- Assisting FM Team prepare progress reports and provide information for reporting
- Coordinating Sub-Contractor access and work permit issue
- Carry out contractor inductions for new contractors coming to site
- Respond to calls logged with the facilities helpdesk. Investigate the nature of the problems and seek a speedy resolution.
- Work in a flexible manner within the role and to exhibit a fundamental interest in achieving the complete functionality of the building, looking and thinking out of the box to ensure no problem or defect goes undetected.
- To undertake repairs, maintenance, service and new works throughout the premises
- Assist with the organisation of equipment and furniture for meetings/training/board rooms prior to and after meetings.
- Act as contractor service point of contact and coordinate contractor access.
- Walk the buildings on a defined/ regular basis and report any issues noted, resolve issue or if necessary arrange for such items to be resolved.
- Ensure all facilities rooms, storage areas and plant rooms are kept in a clean, tidy and functional state.
- Perform any other duties that may be reasonably required of you given the broad nature of the role and the time available.
- Identify and report on any hazcons
Planned Maintenance Checks:
- Carry out assigned in-house PPM tasks on site (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual).
- Maintain site records and provide general administrative duties in this regard.
- Walk the building daily to ensure all fire exits are clear, extinguishers in place and fire register completed and to check for items/equipment not working. If any issues found, attend to them or report issues.
