Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and seat guests with a warm and friendly demeanour.
- Provide attentive and personalised service to ensure a positive dining experience.
Order Taking:
- Take accurate and detailed food and beverage orders from guests.
- Communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
Menu Knowledge:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
- Make recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
Table Maintenance:
- Set and clear tables efficiently to maintain a clean and organised dining area.
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of guests throughout their dining experience.
Collaboration with Kitchen:
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
- Assist with the preparation of basic side dishes in the kitchen.
- Communicate any customer feedback or special requests to the kitchen team.
Upselling:
- Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or beverage pairings, to enhance the dining experience.
- Promote ongoing specials and promotions.
Payment Processing:
- Accurately process guest payments and provide change as needed.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions with precision.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing dishes and resetting tables.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure a sanitary work environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €13.70 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
