The General Hotel Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks, including carpentry, basic electrical and plumbing work. You will work closely with the Centre Manager and other staff members to ensure that all properties and facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across estate properties and buildings
- Undertake carpentry tasks including fencing, joinery, doors/windows, and furniture repairs
- Performs basic electrical tasks such as rewiring, lightbulb installation and fault finding.
- Conduct basic plumbing work including identifying and fixing leaks, installing fixtures and drainage maintenance
- Maintain and service tools and equipment
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Assist with events and seasonal tasks
- Respond to emergency repair needs when required
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in carpentry, basic electrics and basic plumbing
- Qualifications in electrics and plumbing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, proactive and flexible
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
Full Irish driving licence
