The positions will be offered as permanent contracts of employment.
The successful candidate will be required to work shift. Week 1consist of 06:00 -14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 12:30 on Friday. (38.5 Hour Week) Week 2 will consist of 14:00 - 22:00 Monday - Thursday and 12:30 - 19:00 on Friday. (38.5 Hour Week)
Job Purpose
We are delighted to invite internal applications for the position of General Operator for the following areas Printing, Pouching and Slating. The roles will report to the Team Lead.
Role
- Follows the operation principles and complies with the production program of the shift. Meets Safety and Quality standards.
- Ensure the execution of Work Safety Systems on your Machine in accordance with the HS&E standards and/or report or correct unsafe working conditions.
- Operates the machine to meet production program and follows the operations standards. Able to solve issues using root cause analysis tools.
- Ensure that the work points you own are in accordance with standards: CIL, centreline, troubleshooting guide, maintenance plan and SOPs. Follow up on the elimination of defects/losses in your Equipment. Support the realization of root cause in your Equipment. Report any problems.
- Perform in its shift the transition of major losses of the machine through the operation sheet / machine board (Performance board). Keep your machines in basic condition according to CIL/SOP/6S standards. Run the planned stop/Pit Stop of the day.
- Ensures the quality of products produced and alerts Quality personnel/Team Leader of any deviations from customer specification
- Completes machine report on a daily basis; records machine cycle time & daily production while also ensuring targets are achieved.
- Performs additional duties as requested by Team Leader/Management.
Requirements:
- Experience of operating machine/process equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential.
- A mechanical aptitude, good communications and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and an awareness of GMP/WCM requirements.
- The ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
- Must be available to rotate shift.
