We are inviting applications for Green Keeping professionals who have knowledge and experience in the field, with an eye for detail and takes pride in delivering 5* service to join and enhance our established team in Castlemartyr Resort.
As part of the Grounds team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of the Grounds Golf management team. This is a great opportunity to grow develop a career.
Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:
- Preferable to have previous experience in Green Keeping / Golf Course Maintenance / Landscaping
- Qualification in Horticultural Studies is advantageous
- Will possess excellent communication skills
- Must have a full drivers licence
- Will have the ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced environment

- Ability to show a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
- Be self-motivated, being able to work alone with good personal organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Being flexible to cater for guests’ requirements, even at short notice and always professionally.
- Ability to ensure that the guest expectation is consistently being met and surpassed as part of the team.
Duties include but are not exclusive to:
- Assisting Superintendent in growing in of new greens and tees.
- Maintenance of the golf club surrounds and course landscaping.
- Ensuring that the aesthetics of the course is maintained, e.g. no litter, repairs carried out immediately etc.
- Maintaining open spaces, unused acreage and areas outside the perimeter fence, in good condition.
- Assisting for preparation of Golf Course for various tournaments.
- Upkeep and development of trees and wildlife conservation areas on the Estate.
- Responsible for liaising with Golf Course Superintendent ensuring that communication is open and regular.
- Ensure that you keep up to date with changing trends and technological advances in golf course management.
- Control, plan and direct and record the safe and effective application of pesticides and fertilizers.
