Role Overview

  • The role of the Growth Solutions team is to be a catalyst for customer and business growth, working with colleagues across Irish Life Group to
  • Enhance customer experience and lifetime value
  • Use data and technology to deliver brilliant, personalised customer experiences, through new CRM capabilities and the use of Gen AI, for example
  • Develop new innovation thinking and value streams to future proof our business
  • Manage our brand and reputation through advertising, sponsorship, social media and media relations to make it easier for customers to engage with us
  • Drive meaningful societal impact though being a force for good in our business and in our communities

  • The Head of Program Management & Change is responsible for delivering effective planning, execution, reporting and governance of key initiatives that drive our customer-centric growth, innovation, brand and sustainability objectives.
  • As a strategic leader, you will have a key role co-ordinating with colleagues from across the Irish Life Group to ensure effective delivery of strategy objectives for Growth Solutions.
  • In addition the role will have overall responsibility for co-ordinating stakeholder engagement, risk management, data protection, project management best practice, new ways of working, and people engagement for the Growth Solutions team.
  • This role is part of our Growth Solutions leadership team and reports to the Chief Customer, Marketing, Society & Innovation Officer
What you will help us to achieve

  • This approach ensures that our customers receive a seamless experience across all their health, life, pension and investment needs helping us to achieve our vision of being the driving force behind Ireland’s financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.
  • To support this transformative strategy, we are seeking a dynamic and driven business leader to support the delivery of our customer strategy, marketing, innovation and sustainability programs.
More specific responsibilities will include
1. Program management: lead the design, delivery and governance of the department's portfolio of strategic programs ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Develop a robust program management and reporting framework.
2. Change Management: Define and implement a structured approach to change management ensuring smooth adoption of new initiatives and ways of working and act as a change agent embedding customer focused, data-driven, and innovative practices across the Growth Solutions team and more widely
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: build strong working relationships with senior leadership, business units and external partners to support delivery of goals. Work effectively to ‘clear the path’ to ensure program goals are achieved. Ensure effectiveness of Steering Groups and Forums that are co-ordinated by Growth Solutions. Ensure effective oversight of external partners and suppliers.
4. People engagement: people champion within the Growth Solutions team, working with HR on team engagement and communication. Ensure personal development framework and goals in place. Co-ordinate team response to Employee Engagement Survey feedback. Champion 3Cs and ensure 50% office attendance.
5. Risk and Data governance: Risk, GDPR and Data champion for the team. Ensure DPIAs in place for all projects, and work with DPO to resolve challenges of delivering a joined-up customer experience across the multiple legal entities in ILG.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive operational excellence by continuously refining program management processes, tools and methodologies and champion a test and learn mindset leveraging agile principles, innovation thinking and an outside-in perspective to enhance delivery effectiveness.
7. Leadership: Member of Growth Solutions leadership team, providing challenge and support to ensure team goals and KPIs are achieved. Take the lead on stakeholder reporting and value tracking.
8. Strategy and special projects: provide strategic input and project management support for ad hoc projects as required.
