Due to continued growth, we are hiring for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our PV Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for health and safety across the business with support from internal Health and Safety Teams. The role can be full time permanent or on a fixed term contract.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient Health & Safety (H&S) strategies that align with business needs and support the company’s growth.
- Ensure full compliance with the company’s safety systems, including Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and other regulatory requirements by all employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits, addressing and resolving any issues identified.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and task-specific training to ensure workforce awareness and compliance.
- Review and update existing risk assessments regularly, and create new assessments as required.
- Lead the investigation of all incidents, compiling detailed reports and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of all incidents, and near misses, ensuring improvements and learnings are integrated into updated procedures.
- Evaluate and update emergency response plans, safe systems of work, and associated documentation as needed.
- Manage and maintain training records, ensuring all mandatory training is completed and scheduled on time.
- Coordinate and track all statutory inspections and maintenance of equipment, including lifting equipment, forklifts, and mobile plant machinery.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with current H&S legislation and internal company policies.
- Keep the company Safety Statement current and ensure it is effectively communicated to all staff and management.
- Organize, lead, and participate in regular management H&S meetings.
- Keep management informed of changes in relevant H&S legislation, Approved Codes of Practice (ACoPs), and industry best practices.
- Carry out additional Health & Safety duties as assigned by management.
