Health & Safety Advisor/Manager

Overview:
The Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of Health & Safety across all divisions of Arkil Ltd and Arkil (Fantane) Ltd.
This role ensures full regulatory compliance, drives continuous improvement in safety performance, and champions a proactive safety culture throughout both organisations. The role covers all seven distinct business units: Kildare Quarry, Kildare Contracts, Cork Quarry, Cork Contracts, Fantane & Latteragh Quarries, Fantane Contracts, and Kerry Quarry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and standards across all operations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide H&S policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead internal audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture through training, engagement, and leadership at all levels.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on compliance status, risk trends, and cultural initiatives.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Group’s ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System accreditations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role, preferably in a multi-site or group environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant professional certifications in Health & Safety.

Pay: €45,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
