The ideal candidate would be a Newly Qualified/apprentice HGV mechanic with experience working on heavy commercial vehicles and a willingness to learn.
Candidates will be working on our modern range of Scania Trucks and trailers. Knowledge in BPW and SAF axles as well as Haldex and Wabco ABS systems would be an advantage. If you are keen and willing to learn this would be an exciting opportunity for you as no two days will be the same with 100+ vehicles to maintain within our ever expanding fleet.

Candidates would ideally be competent in all areas of HGV repairs, inspections, and maintenance.
Good working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrics would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out repairs and inspections to vehicles to the standards required by the company and enforcement agencies.
- Ensuring that all repairs, inspections, and servicing is to the highest standard.
- Take instructions from and liaise with the service manager/supervisor/foreman over the required repairs.
- Complete all required paperwork/digital forms to the standards required by the company.
- Identify any chargeable work & report to the Operations Manager.
- Undertake any related duties which may be required from time to time by the Operations Manager.
- Experience in HGV maintenance.
- Good diagnostic capability, knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication skills essential.
