YOUR ROLE
Cabins and Containers Ireland currently have an exciting opportunity for an Hire Controller to join our growing Irish business.
Reporting to the Office Manager and Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of our hire business. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that daily hire quotes, job scheduling, and service requests are processed efficiently and on time, all while delivering outstanding customer service.
You will manage hire assets using our Hire and IT systems, and work closely with the Office Manager and third-party hauliers to coordinate customer deliveries and collections.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Take customer orders, process them accurately, and follow through to completion.
- Coordinate delivery and collection of orders in line with customer hire requirements.
- Liaise effectively with customers, Accounts Department, Workshop, and Sales Team as needed.
- Maximise sales opportunities for the depot and the wider group by identifying and acting on customer needs.
- Ensure all hired products are safe, properly tested, and quality-checked in line with company procedures, with all documentation completed.
- Utilise strong computer skills to process data accurately across Hire and IT systems, including documentation for on-hires, off-hires, stock transfers, and related tasks.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of depot equipment available for hire or sale, including accessories, safety equipment, and cabin specifications.
- Identify all accessory requirements at the point of order, such as waste tanks, stairs, and furniture.
- Assist with asset and stock counts as required.
- Carry out additional depot duties as directed by the Office Manager or Operations Manager.
- Maintain a clean and organised hire desk and overall depot area.
- Wear company-issued uniform and required PPE at all times.
- Stay up to date on the group’s equipment offerings and services.
- Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Provide administrative support to the Office Manager as required.
- Support and communicate effectively with all members of the depot team.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as needed to support depot operations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of hire and asset equipment, as this is a key requirement for the role. Prior experience in the hire and logistics planning sector is highly desirable. Strong computer skills are essential, and the successful applicant should demonstrate excellent customer service abilities, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in their work.

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
