About the Role
O'Hehirs ATU Sligo is seeking an organised, personable, and proactive Hospitality Supervisor to coordinate refreshments and catering for meetings, events, and VIP visitors to the college.
Working closely with our Deli Manager, you will ensure that every hospitality request is delivered to the highest standard-on time, well presented, and with a warm welcome.
This role will suit someone already in the Hospitality sector looking for a role based Mon-Fri. It maybe someone from an Hotel or Event Management background. Working day Mon - Fri, 40 hours per week. There will be occasional Saturdays throughout the year (5-6 Saturdays max) with limited functions over the summer period.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate hospitality requests for internal meetings, events, and college visitors.
- Work closely with the Deli Manager & Head Chef to plan and deliver food and refreshments.
- Liaise with senior academic staff and academic personnel to understand and meet requirements.
- Manage multiple hospitality requests simultaneously, ensuring smooth delivery and attention to detail.
- Maintain excellent administrative records, including bookings, costs, and feedback.
- Uphold O'Hehirs standards of professionalism, presentation, and excellent customer service.
How will you stand out from the crowd?
- The ideal candidate will come from a catering/events background. Or, someone who has worked as a Duty Manager in a hotel with a key focus on events/meeting set up and looking for a change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident liaising with senior staff and visitors.
- Good diary management and capable to managing multi events throughout the week
- Calm under pressure with a can-do attitude. Ability to co-ordinate multi teams in prep for each event
- IT-literate and confident with administrative systems in particular Outlook & Opera
- A genuine commitment to providing a welcoming and professional hospitality service.
