About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planner to join our planning team. The Junior Planner will support the day-to-day planning and scheduling to ensure efficient operations, optimal inventory levels, and timely fulfilment of customer orders. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating daily and weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer orders.
- Monitor raw material availability and work closely with procurement to ensure timely supply.
- Responsible for managing company stocks in offsite cold store to include daily call backs and deliveries.
- Responsible for scheduling weekly exports and managing stock with 3PL providers.
- Monitor production progress, identifying potential issues and creating contingency plans to minimise disruptions.
- Collaborate with production, warehousing, and logistics teams to coordinate workflow and resolve scheduling issues.
- Update and maintain planning data in ERP or planning systems.
- Analyse data to identify potential delays, shortages, or overproduction and recommend adjustments.
- Support the implementation of planning improvements and process efficiencies.
- Prepare reports on production performance, inventory levels, and order fulfilment.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with food safety and quality standards.
Experience Required:
- 1–2 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or logistics—experience in the food or meat industry is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
