A Kitchen Porter is a support role in a commercial kitchen, helping chefs and other staff keep the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly.
Main duties usually include:
- Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment.
- Removing rubbish and recycling.
- Unloading and storing deliveries.
- Assisting with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling vegetables) if required.
- Following hygiene, health, and safety rules.
