Role Title: Label Co-ordinator

Role Summary:
The Label Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining label artwork and files to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely availability for production and customer needs. This role involves cross-functional communication, detailed record-keeping, and hands-on artwork updates to support the supply chain, commercial, production, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Label File Management
Check for label updates and ensure accuracy across all files.
Place labels on hold as needed and verify label stock levels.
Discontinue and archive outdated label files following internal procedures.
System & Data Updates
Maintain and update Excel tracking sheets.
Update QAD system with label status and progress.
Monitor and track label progress, communicating updates as needed.
Customer & Supply Chain Support
Assist customers with the creation and development of label artwork.
Review and verify customer-supplied artwork and printer proofs to ensure compliance with specifications.
Provide regular updates to the supply chain team on label development timelines and readiness.
Artwork Creation & Amendments
Create and update label artwork using Adobe InDesign.
Amend PDF files and prepare print-ready artwork files.
Convert legacy label files from QuarkXPress (QXP) to InDesign as needed.
Create PDFs for both print production and online (web) use.
Documentation & Procedures
- Write and update internal procedures related to label creation, file management, and artwork verification.
Competencies & Experience required
Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Acrobat (PDF editing).
Experience with QuarkXPress (QXP) and file conversion workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., QAD).
Good communication and collaboration skills for working with customers, supply chain, and production teams.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in artwork creation, graphic design, or label coordination preferred.
Background in manufacturing or packaging environments is a plus.
Familiarity with label compliance and printing standards is an advantage.
