This full time position is for a minimum of 34.5 hours a week, 38 weeks of the year currently working on a 4 day week basis. The position is for a Graduate Lead Educator in our Preschool room in the mornings and working in our afterschool service in the afternoon. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Be Responsible for the health safety and welfare of all children in your care.
- Ensure all guidelines/ policies are being followed within the service.
- Creating a play based fun curriculum for preschool and afterschool children based on their emerging interests.
- Helping the afterschool children with their homework.
- Observing the children and documenting their journey through preschool.
- Deputising in the absence of the Manager.
- Have a working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta and use it in daily practice.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Minimum Criteria:
- QQI Level 7 or above.
- Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
- First Aid, manual handling and Child Protection training desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an early years or school age setting.
- Experience of working in a supervisory/ team lead role.
- Excellent knowledge of childcare regulations.
- Excellent references and garda vetting required.
