Main Duties:
- Monitor linen stock levels; inform supervisors of shortages or excessive wear.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the linen room and related storage areas.
- Assist room attendants with linen requests and supplies throughout shifts.
- Handle linen and equipment with care, following all safety and manual handling procedures.
- Support general housekeeping duties when needed (e.g., delivering cots, extra beds, or amenities).
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong organisational skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy loads.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
- Understanding of hygiene and health & safety practices.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a linen porter or housekeeping support role, ideally in a 4-star or luxury hotel.
