Trainee Or Experienced Equipment Inspector
This job will preferably SUIT LOCALLY BASED Within half hour of base(40 hours four days per week) And willing to travel for work on a daily basis in transport provided

We are based in Monaghan and 60% of our customer site visits are north of Dublin, 40% of site visits are nationwide. So Travelling day to day is part of the job.
We are seeking a life experienced trainee equipment inspector who understands our type of work. We are ideally looking for a person from an engineering or mechanical background because that will give you a head start. Ex Truck driver or machinery operator may suit due to the varied and multi location work load. You could be a welder, Fabricator, Driver, Mechanic, Builder, Farmer ,Carpenter or Store Person, because these are the areas that we inspect for our customers in. We are absolutely looking for a person who is motivated by the opportunity to learn new skills, who is a hard worker, a keen learner and who wants to deal with our customers professionally and represent our business well.
This is an early career role, and we have customers across a broad spectrum of industries. Our company prides itself on delivering top quality professional services to our customers. Because of this, we expect that it will take six to twelve months of one-to-one training before we’d ask you to go on-site independently. Job will involve a deal of lone working and team working alike. We are a small team working closely together , many ad-hoc duties will apply in this varied role. Training will be ongoing in the course of the role to the right applicant, documentation of all jobs on a day to day basis will be required . we need a flexible person as our hours vary during the work week , Four day week may be possible , Note this job involves traveling from job to job , dealing with different people is part of the day to day work
Key responsibilities
- Lift equipment and machinery inspections
- Country-wide, primarily north of Dublin
- Completion of job cards on IT system
- Follow and contribute to our Quality and health and Safety standards (ISO 9001)
- Maintaining company vehicle and equipment therein to high standards.
- Maintenance of store and stock levels
- Minimal nights out required (under 15 a year)
- Very Rare weekend work
The Person must
- Have a full, clean driving licence
- live local to Monaghan
- Strong English speaking
- Be quality and safety orientated. We have high health and safety standards, and it is mandatory that our employees comply with them
- Be punctual & on-time
- Be comfortable working with computer applications (I-pad / Tablets)
- Be diligent about documenting work completed and submitting to our office team
- Be able to work using their own initiative and be proactive in resolving or highlighting issues
- Be comfortable working in a changing environment
- Be calm and pragmatic - sometimes things go wrong and if that happens, we need someone who can help things get back on track quickly to ensure the best customer outcomes
- Be able to report any issues that arise on site during working day
- Have good fitness levels and be comfortable occasionally working at height
- Have flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours
Ideally, candidates
- Will have a valid manual handling certificate & safe pass
- Will have completed health and safety training in the past
- Will have completed their leaving cert
- Will have work experience in any of the areas highlighted above
- Will be from Monaghan area
Flexible 40 Hrs per week we will in turn be flexible with the right candidate
