The Role:

The role of the Maintenance Assistant’s role is to ensure our hotel buildings are maintained to the highest standards both internally and externally. Teamwork and effective communication are essential skills in this role as you will be working with colleagues across all departments within the hotel to guarantee upkeep and standards of the hotel and ensuring the hotel is health & safety compliant.

About The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the hotel and its grounds.
  • Carry out day-to-day repairs in hotel rooms and all other areas.
  • Prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors.
  • Conduct necessary touch-ups, repairs, and full repaints.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Keep the workspace organized and clean.
  • Ensure the hotel complies with current health and safety regulations.
  • Address guest queries and complaints professionally, efficiently, and report them to management when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across all hotel areas and grounds.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious work environment and smooth business operations.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a hotel maintenance role.
  • Previous painting experience is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the job.

Due to the nature of our business, this position will require you to work weekends.
