About The Plaza Hotel
Welcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin with 122 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conference facilities & excellent cuisine.
Over the last 2 years, the entire interior of the 4-star hotel has been extensively refurbished, now comprising of exciting new eateries. The hotel now offers 122 spacious, comfortable and ensuite bedrooms along with a number of large suites. Two large and naturally lit event spaces, together with 4 meeting suites allow for conferences and events of all sizes, ranging from 5-200 people.
Responsibilities:
Reservation Management:
- Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, or online channels.
- Assist guests in making room reservations, dining reservations, and other service bookings.
- Input and update reservation information accurately in the reservation system.

Confirm reservations and provide guests with confirmation details.
Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests at all times.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Assist guests with special requests, such as room preferences, amenities, and accessibility needs.

Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to reservations.
Sales and Revenue:
- Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue.
- Inform guests about available promotions, packages, and discounts.
- Maintain knowledge of room types, rates, and availability to make informed booking recommendations.

Utilize sales techniques to secure reservations and achieve sales targets.
Communication and Coordination:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front office, housekeeping, and sales, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Communicate special requests and preferences to relevant departments to fulfill guest needs.

Relay important information to guests, such as hotel policies, amenities, and services.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and guest information.
- Prepare daily reports on reservation activity, occupancy rates, and revenue.

Assist with administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and email correspondence.
Sales Generation:
- Actively prospect and generate leads for meeting spaces and event venues.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct sales presentations to potential clients showcasing the venue's facilities and services.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure bookings.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Understand clients' needs and preferences to tailor event proposals accordingly.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction before, during, and after events.

Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Event Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams such as kitchen, operations, and housekeeping to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, and catering services.

Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring that all client requirements are met.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities for business growth.

Analyse sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and maintain sales contracts, proposals, and other relevant documentation.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue projections.
- Generate reports on sales performance and present findings to management.
