Duties & Responsibilities
- Co-manage and implement the Montessori learning and activity program.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and developmental well-being of children.
- Plan, implement, and review classroom and activity curriculum.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of early years sector developments.
- Document and maintain all relevant records.
- Adhere to company policies and early years regulations.
- Support the school rota and contribute to team efforts, including staff meetings and family days.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Montessori setting required.
- Minimum Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care & Montessori Education required.
- Certificate in First Aid and Child Protection Training (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Síolta, Aistear, and Early Years Regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
- Proven track record of leading a Montessori class.
Desirable:
- Ability to form strong relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Interests and hobbies that can be incorporated into the school program.
Role Information
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, varying between 8:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
- School Schedule: Open 47 weeks per year, closed for 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week over Easter, and 2 weeks in August.
- Salary: Dependent on qualifications.
