As we continue to grow our diverse community, we’re seeking a proactive and culturally connected Multicultural Community Assistant – China Focus to help us strengthen our engagement with Chinese students through digital content and community initiatives.
About the Role
This part-time position plays a key role in enhancing our brand presence on Chinese social media platforms, while also supporting the planning and promotion of student activities for learners of all backgrounds. Key Responsibilities
Digital Content & Social Media
- Create and manage content for Little Red Book (Xiaohongshu), WeChat, and other Chinese social platforms
- Translate and adapt content for Chinese audiences in collaboration with the marketing team
- Monitor social trends and student feedback to suggest new content and engagement ideas
- Ensure all content aligns with NED College’s brand tone and messaging
Community & Event Support
- Assist with planning and running student events across various nationalities
- Promote activities to increase student participation
- Capture photos and videos at events for digital use
- Act as a cultural bridge to support better engagement with the Chinese student community
Requirements
- Native-level Simplified Chinese/Mandarin speaker (China focus)
- Intermediate level of English (spoken and written)
- Strong familiarity with Little Red Book, WeChat, and other relevant platforms
- Interest in community engagement, digital marketing, and cultural storytelling
- Basic content creation skills (photography, video clips, caption writing)
- Organised, proactive, and confident in multicultural settings
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience with social media content creation or management (personal or professional)
- Involvement in student groups, events, or international communities
- Familiarity with Chinese digital marketing is a plus
Contract Details
- Working Hours: 20 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 9am–1pm)
- Pay: €13.50 per hour
- Contract Type: Part-Time
