We are looking to hire a Podiatrist in Limerick to assist our going work with the HSE.
What We Are Looking For:
Clinical Expertise & Leadership
- Serve as a recognised expert resource for complex musculoskeletal foot and ankle care.
- Provide autonomous advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of complex pathologies.
- Collaborate with GPs, consultants, physiotherapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Service Development & Quality Improvement
- Lead the development and evaluation of clinical care pathways and service protocols.
- Participate in audit, benchmarking, and research initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement clinical governance and ensure adherence to national and international guidelines.
Education & Mentorship
- Provide supervision, training, and mentorship to junior podiatrists and student placements.
- Develop and deliver specialist training modules for healthcare professionals.
- Support continuous professional development across the podiatry team.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent qualification recognised by the Department of Health, including pharmacology training and local anaesthesia administration.
- Eligible to practice within the publicly funded health service.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification clinical experience in musculoskeletal podiatry, with at least 4 consecutive years in a specialist role.
- Evidence of continuing professional development, including postgraduate qualifications or specialist courses.
- Demonstrated achievements in clinical audit, quality improvement, teaching, and research.
- Strong skills in vascular and neurological assessment, wound care (including debridement), orthoses prescription, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: €68,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
