GP Nurse required at Student Health Centre, Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road, Limerick V94 VN26

Key duties:
- Triage of students presenting at MIC Medical Centre.
- Immediate medical care to students presenting to MIC Medical Centre.
- Liaise with doctors regarding urgent cases which cannot wait for routine appointment.
- Carry out all first aid and dressings.
- Keep all medical supplies in stock and up to date.
- Ensure essential vaccines and medication are available and in date.
- Assist with phlebotomy, taking of swabs, and any other duties considered part of general nursing duties.
- Consultation with students in relation to contraceptive services and STI prevention.
- Recording of vital signs and basic medical information prior to student consultation with doctor.
- Review requests for medical certificates re: absence and review student requests for I-grades. Liaise with College Counsellors, Student Parent Service, and reception staff at MIC Medical Centre and Ashdown Medical Centre.
- Maintain registration with An Bord Altranais / Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse / Midwife
- Practice nurse experience desirable
- Fluent English
